Public Infrastructure

13th Avenue

The Decatur-Federal Station Area Plan, completed in 2013, identifies West 13th Avenue as a trasformative project to better connect Sun Valley to the light rail, adjacent neighborhoods and downtown. Denver's Public Works departrment is currently conducting a W 13th Realignment Study in order to consider how best to accomplish this catalytic infrastructure improvement in Sun Valley. The Station Area Plan recommends a new, realigned 13th that accommodates bicyclists, pedestrians and motorists in a balanced way that would include separated sidewalks, tree lawns, on-street parking and enhanced bike facilities. Please see SVED's resources page for a link to Denver's Project page for this effort.
